Traditional
We offer traditional publishing contracts where we provide an upfront payment and purchase the rights to your work. We will have more control on the editing, cover design and marketing choices, while you retain the copyright and reversion rights, and will receive royalties for book sales.
Partnership
We offer publishing partnership contracts where you don’t receive an upfront payment, but we put in our own time, effort and resources matching your contributions to help publish your novel in a genuine partnership. You retain more control over editorial direction, plus keep the copyright and receive royalties on sales.

Prelude

We’ll review your manuscript to see if it’s something we can help you share with the world. If so, we’ll offer you a contract and the options for enhancing our publishing partnership.

We’ll review your manuscript in detail and suggest changes and edits. You will have control over the changes and whether to accept them - as we said, this is your book, we’re just here to help.

You will be given the opportunity to submit ideas on the cover design and blurb. Our team will design the visuals and edit the blurb to entice readers and buyers. You’ll sign off on the final design.

We’ll handle the admin and get your book registered on international systems. It’s important to note, you will continue to hold the copyright for your book - and we’ll make sure that’s all in the first pages of the publication.

Our team will send out media releases and social media posts announcing your book’s publication date! We’ll forward any interview or media requests to you.

We’ll contact a large range of book distribution platforms, online and physical stores to list your books. It’s a super competitive space, but we’ll ensure your books are available online via multiple platforms, including Amazon and eBook platforms.

As part of the partnership, we’ll send you 20 complimentary copies of your book to put on your shelves, giveaway to friends and family, or sell for profit.

Chapter + Verse

You’ll get all the services in Prelude, including Assessment, Editing, Cover Design, Registration, Initial Public Relations and Listings, First Prints and Author Page.

Our team will build you a standalone author website, usually yourname.com, yourname.com.au, or similar. We will work with you on the design and what you’d like included.

We’ll help you set up your social media accounts and share the good news of your book’s publication. And, we’ll share some tips on how and what to post to increase your audience.

We will send your manuscript to reviewers in your genre and ask them to consider giving your book a review which we can use to publicise the work. We can also look at options for paid reviews based on your budget.

Our team will design QR codes and flyers for use at events and book signings. We’ll try to generate media interest in your novel by approaching traditional and social media platforms and influencers. And, we can work with you to design an advertising and communications plan suited to your budget.

We’ll design event materials and help organise banners, marquees and other event paraphernalia. We can also help you map out local events and writers festivals, and put your name and novel forward to organisers for consideration.

You’ll get all the services from Prelude and Chapter + Verse, and you can choose from a number of options to get ongoing support for administering and marketing you and your works. These options could include website and social media monitoring and maintenance, additional PR support or even hiring us to record the audio version of your book. These services can be one-off, monthly recurring or annually recurring add-ons.

We know you’d rather be writing your next book, so we can handle the admin on your website, including handling orders and enquiries. You can select this as a monthly or annual recurring service.

We can act as your media representative and handle all your incoming media requests to help you lock in media appearances and events to promote you and your works. This service can be monthly or annually recurring.

We’ll record an audio version of your book and prepare the files for upload to Audible and other audiobook sites and apps. This is a one-off service per book and will be priced according to the complexity and size of the book and time needed.
Service Contracts
Editing
We’ll check your spelling and grammar. Provide suggestions on storylines and characters, and make sure it flows. We’ll format it into a print ready file.
Cover Design
People do judge a book by its cover. We can design one for you to grab your reader’s attention. We’ll provide a print ready file, including blurbs and barcodes.
Registration
All books need ISBNs and copyright. We’ll handle that and we’ll also ensure your book is permanently archived with the National Library of Australia.
Public Relations
We’ll send out initial media releases and announcements on publication of your novel. We can scale up PR support tailored to your budget and extend your reach.
Listings
We’ll set up your book on Amazon and other online retailers, so customers can find it. We’ll also reach out to large storefront retailers to see if they will stock your book on their shelves.
Audiobook
Reach an even larger audience! We’ll record the audiobook version of your book and list it with the major audiobook platforms.
Social Media
We can announce your publication on our socials and help design posts for you to share with your followers. We can also tailor a package of social media support from setting up your pages to ongoing management.
Prints
We can arrange copies of your books at a discount for you to purchase to keep, giveaway or on sell.
Reviews
We’ll send your book out to reviewers in your genre and social media influencers and Booktokers to see if they are interested in reviewing your book.
Websites
We’ll add your information to our Author page. We can design and build a website for you and, if you’d like, we can even manage it for you, so you can focus on writing your next best seller!
eBook
We’ll design and list the eBook version of your book on the major eBook retailers and platforms.
Marketing + Events
We can design a range of marketing materials for your use from event merchandise and signage to marquees and brochures.
